La calota exterior del Shadowmatt está fabricada en policarbonato, que es un material utilizado, entre otras cosas, para cascos de moto de alta gama. Está recubierto con pintura mate antiarañazos. La calota interior está fabricada en poliestireno de densidad variable proporcionando una mejor disipación de la energía producida en el impacto. La espuma de confort interna, tipo “memoria de forma”, que garantiza un grosor constante a lo largo de los años de uso y la yugular semirrígida cancelan todos los riesgos de volcar el casco en caso de un movimiento violento.
