Miss Shield Shadowmatt meets CE EN1384 (Europe) and ASTM/SEI F1163-15 (North and South America) standards. The outer shell of the Shadowmatt is made of polycarbonate, which is a material used, among other things, for high-end motorcycle helmets. It is coated with anti-scratch matte paint. The inner shell is made of variable density polystyrene providing better dissipation of the energy produced on impact. The internal comfort foam, “shape memory” type, which guarantees a constant thickness over the years of use and the semi-rigid jugular cancel all the risks of overturning the helmet in the event of a violent movement. This internal comfort foam is removable thanks to a clip system much stronger than the scratch/Velcro system. The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its function is to disperse the impact energy across the surface of the helmet. When the helmet strikes an object, the shell distributes the shock wave, dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches. Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by compressing. Therefore, the inner shell becomes much denser. The harness ensures that the helmet is securely fastened to the cyclist's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shape of the fastening system at the most distant points reduces helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles are made of POM. In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams allow for a perfect fit of their riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether the shape of their head is round or oval, they will conform to their morphology. These removable internal pads can be taken out and cleaned regularly to maintain the cleanliness of the helmet. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and hand washable in warm water. The foams are sold with the helmet. Our riding helmets are handmade in our workshop in Saintes. The European standard EN1384-2017 requires that the visor flexes when a load is applied. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the cyclist. Therefore, the visor of the Antarès helmets is deliberately flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to return to its original shape. The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet easily. It is designed down to the smallest detail, with a large central pocket and a big zipper to facilitate helmet storage.
